Farmall Hill Mountain Bike Challenge (FHMBC) began in the summer of 2000 as a three race summer series in August. It is a 2.0-mile loop throughout the hills of Perinton, NY. The course is known as the "no recovery" race. The course consists of mostly single track with quick climbs and fast descents with very little recovery in between, making for an awesome race.
The August summer series has continued with great success since 2000. In 2003 a new May spring series was added. The August series was skipped that year, since Doug Sharp (the race director) was getting married in August. In 2004 both the spring and summer race series successfully returned. This year the Farmall Hill Mountain Bike Challenge will be celebrating "10" years of mountain bike racing on the hill.

The races draw between 50-70 mountain bike riders on any given Tuesday night. This is a great event for young riders as well, since kids as young as 10 have been racing at the competition. Spectators are welcome to come and view the competition, as the course is visible for fans in many areas. Farmall Hill is privately owned and racing is only permitted on race days, making participation a must if you want to ride the course.
